UTILIZATION
I use it for rock, hard rock and metal.
If you want the sound of metallica, look no further. (I confess I had never imagined having a sound so close with a single pedal).
It goes very well for punk and grunge, see the fuzz, even if it will be a dedicated pedals better.
SOUND QUALITY
The sound, well, it is monstrous)
It was the sound of Pantera, Metallica and so on, very easily.
The only downside, cest if we know this pedal, it will tend to put a lot of acute, while it does not take much, and the medium is not really the mediums, but to warm the sound.
For example if you want to play metallica, heavy rhythmic mode clean and sharp, there is an acute to 3 / 4, MED 1 / 4, a saturated 1 / 2, and boom, they shattered the neighbor)
For shredder, it will almost the reverse adjustable for acute (fourth) and mid (3 / 4).
The top boost is necessary when used, but it must not exceed 1 / 4, if there's a degeu worthy of Star Wars lightsabers. (Or the head in a bee hive, if you prefer)
I use a gibson les paul classic, HB-l/HB-R rise, and sends nasty.
To my surprise, my strat (G & L vintage Fender mounted 57/62) also sends enormously, and is very clean!
I do not even talk about my ibanez.
When was the amp is a classic 30, who had a rotten distortion, but a super clean sound, so I was looking for a good pedal to play the big rock.
In summary, avoid turning the top boost, but feel free to activate it to give a sacred dynamic and has to spend time with mumuse knobs because they are super accurate, and greatly affect the sound.
Avoid the batteries, because it's fast food, prefer the transformer.

EHX I knew only by name, and having read good reviews on some sites and magazines, I started the purchase of this pedal, I found, quite pescimiste being too pricey for me to satisfy (the Metal Monster coutée Me with nearly 220 euros). The metal muff is a damn good grain, compared to its competitors, which sound too flat, too smooth.
I put all 10, but I considered justified, as I note according to my tastes, and for me it is the Holy Grail, and I hesitate to even buy me one second, because by putting two in series I wonder how we can get her
