Aviom announced that its Pro64 Network Manager PC application will be demonstrated at Musikmesse/Prolight+Sound 2010 (Hall 8.0 Stand J70D).

While the Pro64 Series is designed with a front-panel user interface that makes it possible to create audio networks without PC-based programming. The company has now introduced a software control application for those users who desire a centralized control and status monitoring option.

This new graphical interface is designed to provide both global and device-specific information to the user, allowing on-screen management of complex audio networks from a single location. With Pro64 Network Manager, users have remote control of every Pro64 device in a network through a PC connected to the network’s Control Master device. Network settings and audio parameters for each Pro64 device can be handled on screen, simplifying channel routing, network management, streamlining the workflow, and increasing the flexibility of the network as a whole, the company says. The user has the option of saving device-level presets that can recall commonly used local settings for individual Pro64 modules as well as the ability to save network-wide scenes that can reset an entire network with just one click of the mouse.

Pro64 Network Manager connects to a Pro64 audio network via an RS-232 interface and makes use of its built-in Managed Mode to simplify tasks related to supporting and configuring Pro64 networks. All settings can be monitored, including channel activation and routing, internal/external clock source, sample rate, m-control setup, Virtual Data Cables, and firmware version. The software further simplifies network and device management by providing location, device, and channel naming.

The software will be available as a free download from the company’s website, www.aviom.com/networkmanager. To run the program, users will need a PC running Windows or an Intel-based Mac running Windows using the optional Parallels software. All existing Pro64 network devices must be updated to firmware version 3.00 or higher to be used with Pro64 Network Manager. A firmware update utility is built into Pro64 Network Manager to simplify the update process.
