Humanoid Sound Systems has announced that Scanned Synth Pro is now for available as a VST/AU plug-in for Mac OS X Universal Binary.
Like the Windows version, it is sold using the “pay-what-you-like” model (with a minimum donation of 30 US cents).
Scanned Synth uses a unique new form of synthesis inspired by advances in digital music theory, the company assures. It is designed to createcomplex digital tones and sound effects, while using simplified controls and traditional synths techniques such as filters, LFOs and effects.
Perfect for biting metallic growls, movement filled pads, and weird modular-like sound effects, according to HSS, Scanned Synth Pro is designed to provide a unique sound that is constantly changing and new every time you press a key. It features a “revolutionary” synthesis engine and combines Physical Modelling and Wavetable synthesis, with simplified controls and MIDI automation.
