Tone2 updated its FireBird virtual synth to version 2 and makes it available for free.
What’s new in FireBird 2:
- Improved sound described as smoother with less aggressive high frequencies
- Default Ultra quality
- SSE2 support
- Faster song recording and loading
- Modified installer which now detects the right location on the hard disk
- Improved compatibility with host
- The logo doesn’t redirect to the editor’s website anymore
- Improved graphics
- Fixed: the first patch saturated in some hosts
- Doesn’t require Keyfile anymore
- IQM disable by default
Please note that the Mac version is no longer available, so only PC users can download it from www.tone2.com.
