Best value:
Excellent
So it is a tube overdrive pedal as the name suggests!
It is built in a metal case that stands in nearly 10 years of loyal service (not always delicate in fact!). At most, 2 or 3 points of rust that have never stopped working.
A previous opinions mentions the need for a successful diet is undeniable!
For my part, I've pasted a 12V/2A transformer, which is not a luxury because I'm not a guitarist but bassist. Some may cry foul, but it will be almost 10 years it lasts and still no sign of fatigue. And yet it moves!
UTILIZATION
It would be hard to do simple /
A-drive, works for the lowest setting provided they fit in with a punchy signal (for my G & L SB2, ok, but for my 4001, use a pick up booster).
Tone-passive progressive Putôt that does not stifle the soundtrack to the mini.
-The output level should not hesitate to turn to. For my part, if he could go up 11 or 12 ...
The spectrum covered is wide enough, and the grain is very beautiful. The sound that comes out of this pedal is still very manageable. I personally have a preference for a low drive setting, forcing her to seek the force of the wrist. It's not really the stuff of lazy! Good, that means at least say that it respects the particularities of each game.
But it still feels a slight decrease in low frequencies when the triggers. It must be totally undetectable for guitarists, but more sensitive for bassists. In fact, I do not feel the discomfort that with my Ricken. It's not much but enough to put me in search of a new pedal, best suited ... Go, 9 / 10 anyway!
SOUND QUALITY
Oops!
I think I was a bit too talkative in the paragraph above!
That said, I repeat, the sound is beautiful! Here!
I plug my Ricken and my G & L in until a Boogie 400 +. Moreover, it is especially since I have this head I feel the decline more cruelly severe. When I used it with my SWR Silverado, V4B a period or a Bassman Silverface was hardly noticeable. And at the risk of repeating myself, the grain regardless grain!
OVERALL OPINION
In short, this pedal is a little concentrated happiness with me faithfully and soon 10 years. I had borrowed from the store to test him and never returned. The seller asked me 600 balls of memory, in other words I do not allow him time to say ouf. I spun him his dosh and got blocked quickly, sometimes he has remorse ...
So, obviously this pedal has an excellent quality / price ratio even though now it seems a bit more expensive second-hand. The challenge will be to find one more ...
Anyway, mine is not for sale nor will probably ever. It is the comparison and drives the majority of overdrives / distos specially dedicated to low and I've tried a bunch. The only that could rob him of his place in my heart may be a factor and the tube MOJO jtm that are not dedicated pedals on bass.
Finally, under-employment cons that I inflicted on its reliability, its perfs, however, this choice I would do without hesitation.
10/10 is the heart that speaks!
