So I just got this bug, so this is a temporary view.
I share my MPC 2500 against this thing and a MacBook. I felt constrained by time-consuming aspects of the mpc (mpc I worked on for 4 years). In short, this is a little intro to justify my opinion mixed on cr product.

Easy installation on Mac. No need to install any driver, just plug in a USB.
The menu navigation is very well done, no worries at this level. I quickly took my bearings. The pots are very pleasant to use, for against the faders are a bit gadjet.

Time to flats:)

Akai want to get this product as a substitute for an mpc. See the "MPC feeling"
Well let me say that again, they do not care about the mouth of the world. Yes, it has 16 velocity-sensitive pads and aftertouch. Yes, they are the same size and same material. The nuances of the game are fairly easy transcribing. The big worry is that I feel they will die soon! The "feeling" is very plastok. NOTHING TO DO WITH MPC !!!!!!! Every time I hit it, I'm afraid:) Anyway. I think that someone who has never touched mpc will not be shocked. For 300 euros, still I expected something less "Gadget" The future will tell me if I made a good choice. Another point which I find very disturbing is the inability to adjust the sensitivity of the pads individually. We have a global setting. Too bad. Maybe it will come with an update of the internal os.

I put 7 because I still find the ease of playing drum part. In addition, the software bundle is worth the endless pots are really good, the 3 Controllers provide bank margin, and the tap tempo and repeat the note is still convenient.
Small update: well you get used to the pads and they do not break:)
I go back to my note 9. I do not put 10 because of the cheap aspect when much of the total
