AirSOUND is presented as "a revolutionary single point spatial technology that delivers true stereo sound from a single speaker enclosure."
It is designed to deliver a true spatial stereo sound experience without the mess of having additional speakers, wires and complex configurations.
Inventor Ted Fletcher explains in video about the process and how it works:

airSOUND supposedly achieves this room filling sound from a single point source, therefore eliminating the constraints of separate left and right speakers.
Airsound LLP is a technology partnership set up jointly by a City of London Investment consortium and Ted Fletcher, the inventor of airSOUND. airSOUND is designed to extend, simplify and improve all listening experience, from the smallest of mp3 playing loudspeakers to the largest arena loudspeaker systems, the company says.
