Here, in fact I was looking for a simulation of tube preamp, I tested all the freeware Audiofanzine and although eventually I decided to pay Voxengo lampthruster, I still have to put a special mention on this one:
I was really impressed with his ability to sound forward: no breath with the drive as hard as the output can cash in short, heat, power and volume are really the appointment, not a breath or coughing up saturation.
I put 7 instead of 10 and I did not choose this product because it can warm up a "too" sound. "
You see it's like the T-rack: it a priceless face on an acoustic guitar or a single channel only, but if you put one on each of your tracks, you will have a soup cooked with the lamp! That's why I opted for Voxengo that may be quieter but the reward is in the mastering!
Still, you need to try this plug is not what it cost (ie nothing), maybe you should make it ideal for a track or a guitar solo, at least in the freeware, there's no hotter and plsu own!
