can I recorde multiple midi channels from one synth plugin

i was wondering dose anybody know if it is possible to say record multi midi channels from say just one synth plugin how is this done as i am just getting the same one sound on other channels would be very thankfull for any help??????

I believe this is not a general yes/no answer. Your MIDI software dictates this for you. You will need to check the help for your particular software.
