M audio and Cubase VST32 Question. Who knows cubase?

Does anbody know how I can record two seperate mono tracks at the same time using Cubase. I have 2 analog inputs L and R. I cant seem to get them routed to seperate tracks and both armed for recording at the same time.
Who knows Cubase? Can you help?

At the track inspector pane, there's a button that says stereo. When you click on it, it becomes mono while your input should read 1 IN L. Select another audio track and set it to mono too, then set input to 1 IN R.

That's as far as I remember 'coz I'm using Cubase SL2.2 now.
