Sorry for the real dumb questions but this is all new to me.
I've just purchased a new keyboard and I want to take my music to a new level instead of using loops and synths provided on my music software.
I want to use my own keyboard as an instrument and I want to know how I go about recording it onto my PC.
What equipment do I need to record my tracks?
Is it as simple as a mic over the keyboard or do I need something to attach to the keyboard to feed it into the sound card?
I have MIDI on the keyboard (although I haven't got that working yet) but I also want to be able to record tracks using what I play on the actual keyboard.
Sorry if the questions are amateurish but this is still new

well usually, i run the keyboard through a di box than use a mic cable from the di box to the juction box.
