If you are interested in hearing songs that can be made with PhoenixStudio, check my Myspace page on http://www.myspace.com/tinyloops This will give you an impression of what you can do with this software. No post processing has been done, so no extra drum computers, synthesizers or compressors. I put 9 songs on Myspace, all made with PhoenixStudio. It takes me an average of 3 days for every song to compose.
Technical: Most Myspace songs were developed on a Dell Axim at 624 MHz. Works flawless, without any dropouts in the sound. I have used the software on a PDA running Windows Mobile 2002 (200MHz iPaq) and also on a Windows Mobile Phone running WM 6.1 (600MHz ASUS P750). On slower CPU speeds (200 MHz and below), when you use sine waves for one of the oscillators, or too much stereo reverb, you will experience dropouts, because the processor can't keep up. You can do without and the software works smoothly. On CPU's with higher speeds this is no issue at all and you will experience no dropouts in the sound whatsoever.
On a PC you can convert the PhoenixStudio files to Wave files. This program used to be for free on the meloditronic.com website, but it's off the air, so pick it up from here: http://www.tinyloops.com/phoenixstudio/WavExporter.zip
I bought PhoenixStudio years ago, and I am totally in love with the software. I use "mini-cd's" (8 cm cd's) to distribute the songs. Which is really cute.
