It's hard ot see good videos out there for the Archon,a nd I've alreayd seen most of them. I'd like to hear directly from owners. I managed to get one for 1300 bucks in a silent auction and am hoping I didn't get ripped off :D:

I really didn't like the sound of this amp (as conveyed on different videos online), but my opinion changed when I played it, especially when played through the 5153 cab.

True, it doesn't do every style great, but for modern hard rock it really does do a good job. I think the clean sound is an acquired taste. I like it, but many people think it can be overly dark, with bright switches off and presence low.

This amp has it's own strenghts and weaknesses. so long as you're the type of player who will appreciate its signature strengths, you'll enjoy this amp
