Sabian, Inc. announced that it has purchased the inventory, intellectual property, patents, and manufacturing equipment of Gon Bops from Drum Workshop, Inc.
Also announced was the establishment of Gon Bops, Inc. as a wholly owned subsidiary. As President and CEO of the entire Sabian organization, Andy Zildjian will become CEO of Gon Bops, Inc., and will be responsible for oversight and strategy of the brand.
Lane Davy, Vice President, Sabian, Inc. will assume the role of Executive Director of Gon Bops, Inc., and will execute the strategies and oversee the day-to-day operations.
Mike Connell, Executive Vice President and CFO of Sabian Ltd., will assume the role of CFO of Sabian Inc. and Gon Bops Inc., and as such will oversee and manage the financial functions of these companies.
Gon Bops, Inc. will be run as a separate concern from the cymbal business, with its own distribution network and artist program. Through an ongoing working relationship with Drum Workshop, manufacturing in California will continue uninterrupted, the company says.
Relationships with current suppliers will continue, allowing a continuous flow of products, according to Sabian.
