This sampler is very bare and yet ...
Function that kills you can choose the sampling frequency, allowing to vary the sound.
UTILIZATION
Not easier to use. All buttons are facades with each function. That's clear.
Sampler is ideal for easily editing your samples. I did not use against by MIDI.
In fact, the way I work, I use it first thing in the chain to sample the sound I want quickly and easily define the beginning and end of my sample. Basically: my sample have done everything, cut (but without effect, etc ...) without me take the lead.
Then, the output OUT of the S20, I resample what I have to edit in my Ensoniq ASR-X Pro to edit the sample depth (with effects, filters ,...). I benefit and the grain of the ASR, etc. ... Otherwise, directly into my MPC 60 for the grain.
The idea is to edit the sample upstream basically I like without me take the lead.
SOUNDS
Its level: hyper good, its rather warm in no way inferior to some other samplers, on the contrary.
In all cases, as sampler alone, it is very nicely. It allows entry to have excellent sound.
OVERALL OPINION
I've had over a year and I am very happy for my use.
There is nothing I dislike (perhaps the sequencer where I got it there when I tried it ... but hey I sequence with my GPA was just a test)
