New features include MIDI sequencing:.The eight dedicated MIDI tracks host assignable MIDI LFOs and customizable MIDI arpeggiators, designed to allow for both “in-depth and experimental control” of relevant MIDI parameters.
The sound processing tools of the Octatrack, the Flex and Static machines, have also been improved, according to Elektron.
Apart from these two features, other things have been refined, according to the company. Elektron says that the user interface has been tweaked for easier interaction with the machine, that more flexible methods of sampling have been implemented and that the new personalize menu is designed to let a user fine tune various aspects of the Octatrack workflow.
The OS, together with the revised user’s manual, can be downloaded from www.elektron.se.
