I have a Fender Jazzmaster and was looking for a cheap second guitar for gigs that I wont mind if it takes a few knocks.
This thing sounds incredible.I play everything from Elvis to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club so was a bit concerned that I'd bought an out and out "Rock" guitar, but this guitar does everything. The action was superb straight out of the box,no spending weeks getting it set up right. It looks superb as well.
At this price, nothing!
For a guitar in this price range the construction is superb feels very solid.I give this guitar a 4 hour thrashing with my band straight out of the box and it stayed perfectly in tune!My fender doesnt even do that and that cost 4 times as much.
There were some tiny specs of paint missing around the edge of the scratch plate but I do mean tiny nobody noticed except me and I didnt notice for a fortnight.
I really cant praise this guitar enough quite simply incredible value for money. Its a nightmare trying to find the right guitar for less than £300 ($500).If you've got a £1000 buy a Gibson,if you hav'nt don't even look at the Epiphone its twice the price of the Vintage.Ive played both and regardless of the price the Vintage wins hands down.
