PG Music Inc. has released version 2008.5 of its Band-in-a-Box® intelligent music accompaniment software for Windows®.
With Band-in-a-Box 2008 (Nov. 2007) we released 3 RealTracks: Real Pedal Steel, Real Sax (Tenor), and Real Acoustic Guitar. Now there are 44 more RealTracks for Country, Jazz, Rock and Metal. The new Real Instruments include acoustic guitar, electric guitar, basses (Jazz swing acoustic, electric), saxes, fiddle, pedal steel etc.
We’re told that with the RealStyles that contain Real Instruments ONLY, you do not need to have any MIDI at all! All the RealTracks and RealDrums are actual audio recordings of Jazz, Country, Rock and Metal studio musicians that replace the MIDI track. These audio recordings of studio musicians play along to the chord progressions you enter, not MIDI patterns or samples. Thirty other significant enhancements in version 2008.5 include faster generation of RealTracks and RealDrums, smaller hard drive space requirements, and more.
