Value For Money :
Excellent
The headroom of ZT Club12 (power clean sound) is not far from that of a Fender Twin Reverb (measurements performed in the lab, see on jazzguitar.be). It is more powerful than a Roland Jazz Chorus (3x and lighter).
It is a machine to its clear, with a typical grain hot Fender is a high-end amp vocationally oriented, with real personality (it plays in the category Evans, AER).
It is a single-channel 12-inch 200W 280W banking more in attack. Adjustable gain, master, 2-band EQ, reverb, HP external output. adjustable headphone output.
Advantage over a single channel amp with good power tubes (40W): ZT Club12 weighs 10kg!!!!!
Advantage over a solid-state amp upscale transportable (AER Cheeky): the price / quality ratio (3x less) and look pretty "sixties" ...
UTILIZATION
Suitable for Jazz, Blues, country no effect (with guitar plugged directly and only integrated reverb amp).
Suitable for all styles provided they add a preamp or a good overdrive. He gets along very well with overdrive pedals (Fulltone OCD tested, Ibanez TS9).
Happy little reverb integrated, discreet and air, just enough.
SOUNDS
Its clear at a good tube amp, very warm and round.
Equalizer 2 band bass / treble kind Fender: with bass / treble set "flat" (12H): the mids are slightly forward. For a really equalization "flat" must be set Bass / treble to 14H.
The sound can be slammed if you push the treble, but they are never garish, even background. This is one of the amps "softer" market.
When you push the gain, surprise: a nice overdrive appears. Comparable to a good low gain pedal. It lacks a bit of "sparkle" like a Fender Blues Junior, however overdrive ZT is objectively more musical than some tube amps "high gain".
OVERALL OPINION
Report excellent quality / price.
What freedom to take all his scene set in one trip: guitar (in the back), the pedalboard (left hand) and a 200W amp (right hand) without getting tired!!
Successfully tested in live conditions in a sale of 200m2, without transplanting sound with a drummer and a bass player who knocks equipped with a 800W Eden head.
The jazzeux seeking an amp "stand alone" can order their eyes closed.
For rock: test imperative to verify that gets along well with his set of effects.
Remember that like many amps with no adjustment mediums: the default mediums are about 2 dB: thus adjust bass & treble knobs 14H to sound "right".
