Value For Money :
Excellent
8 preamp transistor
Product data sheet Midas Audio
mount model
comes with a DB25 with 8 XLR Male
UTILIZATION
The configuration is simple and effective.
The top section is not used to much ...!
phantom power, pad, phase reverse and preamp!
SOUND QUALITY
The sound is clean and transparent.
No wind noise, even to gain background.
To know what the Midas XL 42 preamps are equivalent but with a gain very slightly below. (I have a 42 XL, I could do the test!)
A very slight bump in Lower medium in voice catching.
Otherwise nothing to say!
OVERALL OPINION
I used it on a recording of more than a week.
I tried with another preamp like the XL 42, 1073 neve, Mackie 800R, presonus, Avalon VT 737 and other universal Audio.
What I like the most that is neutral sound, dynamics, signal / noise ratio.
The preamp generates no breath even background is very nice.
ADAT outputs and analog outputs provided for purchase.
Least is the small fan that makes a little noise, it's a shame in a studio. Once a recording is started on the soon forget!
This is a very good value for money, and manufacturing is not more "cheap" the Midas XL 42, even if it is made in China! ...!
I would do this choice ....!
