PreMax combines a mic preamp with a 3-band equalizer in a single 500 Series module. The module features the Radial Accustate gain and sensibility knob, a high-pass filter, 48V phantom power and a 180° polarity reverse switches.
PreComp is a preamp and VCA compressor. The Accustate control is also included, as well as threshold, ratio and gain knobs for the compressor, which automatically goes from soft to hard knee as compression increases. A slow/fast switch will help setting the PreComp up for percussive instruments or vocals, for instance. High-pass filer, 48V phantom power and polarity reverse switch are also on the menu.
Both modules feature XLR, TRS 1/4" and D-Sub connectors for use in a 500 series power rack and Radial Workhorse, and the Omniport provides direct patching to the preamp or the compressor, for those who want to use each processor separately.
Retail price in Europe is set to 369€ ($300 approximately in the US).
