Warm Audio will launch this year an enhanced version of their WA12 mic preamp, called TB12 Tone Beast and available in 1U rack format.
The TB12 offers one XLR mic input and a 1/4" instrument input. It is based on the WA12 circuit, with the famous Warm Audio tone switch, and includes the following new features:
- 2x switchable output transformers, one steel core and one nickel core
- 2x switchable opamp circuits
- Switchable from an electrolytic to tantalum capacitor circuit
- An internal power supply requiring no wall wart
- An output transformer bypass switch
- An Output attenuation pot
