Features to go to the website of Generalmusic directly =)
If not quite complete connectivity, there is even a MIDI cable in the box (?) It's always nice little touches such =)
The installation of the editor on my laptop was very smooth, although I have not played with.

UTILIZATION

The use for anyone who wants to play on is extra easy. Connecting the MIDI input, a button to choose the performance, a knob of volumet zoup and it works.

I am not yet entered the details but it's still very accessible and we find the pleasure of the hardware compared to software: it sounds now.

I must read it again, but it seems that the effects are not very well explained in the manual, but otherwise happily doc in french =).

SOUNDS

..... Sounds are staggering.

Never mind the sounds of strings and other marimba where few people will buy this device. But the sounds of electric pianos are very good. Ho I do not have a large range of equipment to make a comparative pouillème, but the sounds are exactly what I hope to find in buying this RP-X.
The wulitzer is fabulous, the sounds are top Rodhe, even though they are often accompanied by a string in performance. But there are no strings presets and if you play a little 'alone' as well.
I think the piano sounds good because I control without the RP-X from a digital piano Roland RP-101 and it is ultra Get Driving for piano sound ... so it is better on the sound of 'grand piano' that the rp-x necessarily.

The effects are almost too well integrated to the sounds. I must bump this side a little, but I think for example that the phaser or tremolo is so thin you can 'feel' the effect more than you hear. But hey, I have not taken the time to see how it acts on it for now and if we can play on the dose or the amplitude.

In effect, it may be missing a slight distortion (or a crunch) that can be found if we attack the high notes, like a real Rodhe I suppose, but not indepandamment anyway.

OVERALL OPINION

Relieved after purchase.

It is a rack (1 / 2 rack for that matter) who does very well what it is done: simulating electric pianos, Wurlitzer and clavinet other. The sounds are hot, very sensitive to velocity and just a chord, there is a real presence.

The effects can be closer to sounds 60 '70' (yes there is a whawha), even if it does not seem to be a big super customizable effects section (but then must also re-read the doc when I get to let go my keyboard).

The connectors allow almost all connections with the 'real' trio for MIDI and a USB port in addition, inputs and outputs.

I have to push a little further to the side effects and the edition from the computer, but I think we can do a lot of adjustments if necessary on these elements.

Finally I turn on the side I play, a single volume knob for direct access, 2 buttons to change the sounds ...... it's very valuable for those who want to make music first before making computer = p
