EMG81 microphones and 85 (Zack Wylde Kit)
UTILIZATION
Channel pleasant, I love the ebony fingerboard.
At the store, I found the strings too high, but after a stint at a luthier, it is quite correct. There is a way to blow up the "shredder" on it.
The guitar is rather light compared to the pachyderms like Gibson Les Paul.
Well-balanced guitar, the neck not sting the nose when you play standing (try the LTD Viper I found unplayable up ...)
Default: no muzzle ... Rockline Avenue with a lag, I used to play guitar with a groove!
But compared to my lag, this guitar is much more accurate, natural and artificial harmonics are much more easy way. For example, the natural harmonic in the second box, I perform well 1 out of 4 times with the lag, and with the ESP it sounds all the time!
For sound, I compared a model with micro Seymour Duncan (I forget which) with a model mounted EMG81/85. Being a fan of Slayer, Nostromo, Converge Dillinger Escape Plan or other, I fell for the EMG. The 81 kills distortion. on the other hand I find it super dry clear sound. The 85 has a less dry, less garish. More velvety. It is certainly not a Telecaster or a Stratocaster in his clear, but I think it's correct.
8 for the lack of versatility.
But no one buys an ESP to play jazz or blues, though!
SOUNDS
I play mostly metal and post rock above.
My amp is a Carvin XV-212.
The distos are excellent, clear sounds good but not transcendent. 7 for that.
OVERALL OPINION
5 months I play it. 15 years I play guitar.
I find it very enjoyable to play, I think I'm a guitar hero with LOL
I find very good value for money. I could pay 1000 euros more for this guitar.
She tapp in the eye, it has a terrible personality, which is expressed mainly in the metal. And besides it is really beautiful. Absolute class, dark red, round conductor!
I would do the same choice, against I'll have a telecaster or a stratum for clean sounds.
