Published on 12/19/12 at 10:00
U.S. manufacturing 1980-1981
Alder body color sunburst finish 3

Black pickguard with 3 single coil pickups standard FENDER - 1 volume 2 tones
5-way switch.

One piece maple neck maple fingerboard - 21 frets slim profile. Large head butt.
Mechanical vintage F - Trussrod highlight is adjusting the head.

UTILIZATION

Channel profile fine for every game, practice rhythm as solo.

Ergonomics of a Strat, fairly balanced but very heavy!
Easily obtained a sound, the settings are effective, but no dial tone on the bridge pickup is very "dry".
This series of microphones lack of fishing. Maybe a height adjustment can improve the sound quality?

SOUNDS

Sound warm and crystal clear neck pickup and middle without forgetting the typical positions 2 and 4 (Knophler Mark, Dave Gilmour ...)
The neck pickup has no tone control and seems "dry"
Overall, the lack of microphones fishing!

I use it on all 30 FENDER MARSHALL lamp and VS100R
It goes well in distortion, but is set back with respect to the double windings.
Otherwise, it is the sound FENDER, STRAT sound in clean and bluesy to wishes.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for more than 30 years. This is the first guitar I've seen and played.
She has wonderful shapes, it is original, there is no default. The ergonomics are perfect.
I've tried others, current microphones have richer sounds and couillus, but in any case I separate myself from my first Strato.
