Excellent
Guitar great guy srat manufactured Idonésie, mahogany body, maple top, 24 frets neck through maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, mechanical ESP, Floyd Rose Special, 1 EMG 85 in the neck and a 81 chavalet position, 1 master volume and tone, a three position switch.
UTILIZATION
Here's a cheap guitar and is very well made! The handle is very nice, not too thin or too thick, with a quick access to the perfect treble (thank you through the handle), light is very well balanced both standing than sitting. It is a real pleasure to play.
Mechanical to show accurate, the Floyd Rose that is not an original is very good, I set one time: action, tension springs and tuning of the guitar and it has not moved in a week relatively intensive use. I was looking for a third guitar with good value and Floyd takes the road report, I think I found it!
SOUNDS
I bought this guitar for my complete set consists of an ESP Eclipse and a Flying V. I was looking for something not too expensive and effective in the pure metal field.
The couple EMG 85 81 is very comfortable in all types of sounds ranging from heavy rock to extreme metal, 81 is excellent and sharp and precise rhythm for the furious solos, the 85 is perfect for round solid but both aggressive and powerful rhythms. Coupled with my Fireball is really good, I do not mean a big difference in sound between this and my Eclipse LTD on 81 actually. Significant differences between these two guitounes take more quality wood species and finish that made sound itself which leaves me to think that either my ear still needs to improve (the most plausible solution ) or the wood used are not so far from each other between ESP and LTD. However, with regard to finishes, although LTD is very well finished, there are one or two errors at the white line that marks defines the table while finishing the ESP are simply perfect.
Made for metal, yes, but playing on the volume knob of the guitar with amp distilling pleasant or very nice clean sounds, as is the case with Fireball, you can still get clear sound rather agréables. On can even go Tater bluesy sounds (all things considered) on 85. Moreover, these two microphones provide a very good sound slightly crunchy on the clean channel if you do not touch the volume.
Anyway, for the metal is excellent.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it recently and I was torn between this model and a Charvel So Cal Mexican. I turned on the LTD because of handle that provides playing comfort and excellent sustain.
This is a really amazing guitar for the price, apart from some slight defects in finish, it is really very good, less versatile than the Charvel especially regarding clean sounds but it does what I ask him to send super metal sounds, be super fun to play and have a very effective floyd. In addition I find really beautiful red transparent varnish.
For this purpose and in this price range, go for it, but if you get the chance, try it even Charvel.
