UTILIZATION
is a (good) compressor ...
SOUND QUALITY
It is very musical, no sound of shooting the gate & ponpage no compression! no deformation of the sound (aside from the compression) used for many source (drums, synth, guitar etc ...) has no particular color, it is neutral (no lamps or other simulator) thus meets particularly the reports on all frequencies, it keeps low & high ... of all good!
I do not use the recording function to maximize, but it's cool to hear too many "destructive" for the file! EQ makes a nice little better in the end when the mastering is finished.
For info:
- Samson s-com, not compress, triggering noise etc. ... InServ
- Behringer MDX, but to understand how it's "educational" but not usable for real work, even in the home studio enthusiast.
- Art & DSP GST, a lamp for two channels ... No how, InServ
- Art Pro VLA, a bit expensive for what it is, but it is doing taf.
- TC electonic C300, InServ, are moving from one channel to another?? and preset?? we do not know what we did.
- Alesis 3630, the best low-end ... with default is of course ...
- SPL DynaMaxx, good product, but have loved the concept!
- Joemeek C2, VC2, such as Clio, some love it, other hate (I hate ...)
OVERALL OPINION
Effective product for Pricing accesible price of 100 euros a compressor (ie 200 euros) has not the cachet of a large (AU Drawmer etc ...) but can play in the past without major problem for cleanliness its work and its effectiveness.
Basically, a tariff accesible for a high quality product, a small flat on the construction, the LEDs provide a very good understanding, but lack of a good finish to be a product on top. (It is more fun now with that black facade!)
