What are the effects or types of effects available?
Compressor 3 lamps bands.
Is this a rack or rack-mount model?
3U rack. The device heats a lot, plan 1U away your rack with other elements. The components used are of high quality but the assembly and the design is not worthy of a device of this price (potentiometers buttons squeaky, electronic cards that reflect the operation of the Holy Spirit).
What is the connection?
2 In and 2 Out XLR + 4dBu
USE
Is the general configuration is simple?
Very simple if we know well the compressors. The settings are usual: cutoff frequencies, attack, realease, threshold and gain per band. However, the ratio is not adjustable, it varies automatically according to the gain reduction.
SOUND QUALITY
Are the effects effective, responsive and realistic enough?
The purchase of this equipment was a gamble (as often) because few users (I have the serial number 201). I have not been able to exploit in the use for which it is designed, that is, the multiband compression of a stereo signal, in effect:
- Balancing between the two tracks is approximate
- The 6 dB per octave cutoff frequency (according to the manual) is not sharp enough (when you put the band of serious solo, we still hear the loud mediums,
- Compression is fast, but not effective enough.
By linking the two channels (out 1 connected to in 2), we are left with a multi-band mono compressor, more efficient, with a cutoff frequency at 12 dB per octave. So it helps me sometimes the tracking or so in m / s mastering, the mid, to wake up a little soft attacks.
NOTICE GLOBAL
How would you rate the quality / price?
Bad, manufacturing quality and design are not worth € 4,500.
With experience, you do again this choice?
Not.
