« on or near my hunger ... »
Published on 06/06/11 at 05:46I will return to the technical specifications of the machine, see other reviews or the keyboard to this site.
however, I focus on what attracted me to purchase, namely:
- Robust, as the rack itself as knobs or buttons
- The Spirit 1 = 1 function button
- 4-way multi timbralité / 4 mono outputs dedicated
- The number of user location / sounds available
- Part drumkit
- Full aspect twelve o'clock
10/10
UTILIZATION
simple operation, with a MIDI keyboard connected, or with a computer. twelve o'clock nickel.
editing easy and convenient, effective! there are even freeware plugins for editing within the DAW (!!!! what good, because everything comes to hand ...).
nothing wrong, philosophy and ergonomics of the machine perfect.
10/10
SOUNDS
this is where it is spoiled a bit.
in absolute terms, it's a superb machine! but I do not like the category of VA, virtual analog. one is not virtual because it's hard and everything is handmade ... two is frankly not analog! the machine makes sounds really great, but far, far away from what is entitled to an analog 100% pure juice! regarding the lower is the cat, it sounds metallic. some say cold, but I maintain metal ... So for the low sub-type is dead. we will say that I do not know the program ... but even knowing it (anyway, thank you, this is not my first synth), or by collecting sounds from the web and elsewhere expected to do the job is really means (for my taste).
really bad, although it is now easy to find a real little analog mono dedicated to the bassline.
for the rest, lead terrible funky organ, brass type sounds or OB Prophet, nothing to say, well it emulates.
otherwise it remains for me an excellent machine for synthetic sounds experimental.
OVERALL OPINION
greatly disappointed by its lack of trunk (both overall volume than low frequencies), I use this little red without stopping for leads, some drums and fx, but definitely not for the bass. the addition of pedals or a rack of effects is needed quickly to give it body on stage or in the mix.
very nice machine course in the end, but that severely need to have friends analos in a set up ...
