Value For Money :
Excellent
Overall, this is good and is part Qrack synths upscale (for a small price used)
The -:
- The configuration panel Parmet editing sounds in Multi Mode 4 and then 4 stereo sounds (or 8mono). or there are six separate outputs. It's not bad but it does not simplify use, so I rarely use more than 3 stereo sounds at the same time. Eight separate outputs have been better. (See more ADAT duo, the icing on the cake!)
- 16 channels polyphonic in the standard version is a bit limited if you do not have other synth in his studio.
- 4 buttons keeping notes (hold) + in the screen below would not have been too much. You can always go through the arp or make a special sequence but in reality, it does not ...
- A function recall any sounds in multi mode. Live for use, it would have been wiser. Skip the shift is sucks.
The +:
- 16 buffers edition
- Q card
- Its banks, arp, seq, drums, multi ... there's everything you need
- Editor (SoundDiver, SoundTower ...)
- Resources on the net
- Effects complete enough and honorable.
- Its ergonomics and look
- Lots of other things I zapped
UTILIZATION
It's very spontaneous qd we know the machine. Given the number of knobs and buttons, we will quickly sketch a new patch without going into a technical process that makes you lose all creativity. The screen is enough but if it is not a recent Touch!
The filter section is thanks to its extra modulation possibilities available directly on the panel. we can do is cross-between Filter 1 and 2 with an LFO that plays on panoramique.Et why not use an envelope so that the LFO modulates the pano does not equally etc etc etc. On the atmospheric type or pad, it becomes magical.
The sequencer 32 is not great and can record the keyboard without taking the head too. You can then edit each step by countless possibility that a connection to the patches section modulation ... hours experimentation to move!
Navigation flexible enough banks who register sequences with multiplayer mode and not with the program. this allows to upload a new one with "program change" while keeping the sound current.
In short, one could write much more but it is for everyone to make use of its propore Waldorf Q.
SOUNDS
Perfect for the DeepTechno. I used to pads, sequences and FX. The sound is full, rich, broad and alive.
OVERALL OPINION
This is a synth where you can master the design of a sound and also get lost in a world of sound wonderful, at least for me who am looking for originality!
Over the years, I came to connect the MIDI Waldorf syncro only with Ableton (which incidentally is not the most reliable for that ...) I prefer to make my internal sequences, see qq record automation in + but that's all.
It has a prominent place alongside names like the Neuron, the fizmo or the Prophet08.
Given the price occas, do not be shy!
