I got the CDJ-800, the CDJ-800 MKII, and a multitude of "dual-laser" (TVE, TSB, American DJ, DENON, PIONEER.)
And durable (the pads are tjs as early as they are heavily used)
+ Ease of handling
+ Look
+ Hot cues
- The price (then)
- The absence of the "loop cut" features on the CDJ-800
Although this is the top quality stuff, and a benchmark in the clubbing, the budget to equip its two plates is still very important but the investment is safe.
If I came back, I would opt for these plates but even now I head for the CDJ-900
