Hello, first post here!
i have a question. I am a musician but I aldo love filmmaking. i'm upgrading my gear and I'm going to buy a shotgun mic, a very cheap one, HTDZ HT-81, and I'd like to know if I could use it to record acoustic guitars and vocals in my homestudio. i have a fast track 2 and oxygen 61. Would it have acceptable results or is it not advisable to do such thing? i just want to know because I'd have to buy a studio condenser also then and i can't really afford one right now.
Thank you

Welcome! While I'm not familiar with the mic you're looking at, in general shot gun microphones aren't designed to record instruments or music. Having said this, if you're just doing some basic recording or demos, it should do the job just fine. I'd test it out for yourself once you get it to see how you like it. However, if you're looking to get a cleaner sound quality I'd recommend going with a proper studio condenser...
