« Carvin TL-60 »
Published on 06/24/01 at 15:00I purchased this wonderful guitar on consignment at a local music store. It has a quilted maple top with a tobacco sunburst finish. I paid $500. I was actually looking for a semi-hollow body guitar, but on seeing the quality and hearing the tone and sweet sustain I purchased this Carvin instead.
This guitar is extremely versatile, has a wide variety of great tones. The action is excellent. Incomparable sustain. I love this axe!
There is nothing I don't like about this guitar.
The fit and finish are the finest I've seen. (I've owned several high end guitars)
It has a neck thru body, ebony fret board, tilt back headstock and Sperzel locking tuners. All metal parts have a deep gold finish.
Once in a while, when I'm tempted by some pretty axe in advertisements or stores and compare features, finish and sound, I come to the same conclusion ...nah my Carvin's better.
