From an LP-like with a radius affects strongly curved, the Tele was surprised by its flatness, but ultimately, it is not less comfortable.

Let's say that when I bought from a friend who had obviously made a mistake buying, I'm glad because I would finally have a Fender Telecaster (I dreamed, bushel, when I started the scratches). And then the sound of the Tele, the Tele sound!
I plugged in my preamp which is plugged into my mixer and started to play ... Hmm ... a bit like myself have made, on this one.
That's the sound of the legendary Tele? The famous twang ... means. The bridge pickup deemed scratching the ears ... bof, very muffled. For cons, the neck pickup, delicious. And the tone control ... limit fraud, what: the on / off without progression, offering a unique sound color from 0 to 7, and one other from 7 to 10, that's all. In short, the beautiful has spent more time in the cozy comfort of his flycase between my hands.
And then a little annoying that disappointment, I just dug. Most recently, I opened the control plate, only to find that the tone knob was 250 ohms (measured actually 230) with a 22 pico condo. With a side knob 500 kohms condo with 0.22, I tried the registry:
AYE! I HAVE MY TELE deflowered! THE sound of Telecaster as desired, with a real escalation in the tone controls. The sound has finally opened. And that changes everything. It slams like that is slamming, it retrieves the chest that finally allows the amp to cruncher is nuanced and it respects the effort - worthy but very flawed - to yours truly to give the shade and its dyanamique Thurs A real treat, a reward, too.
10/10, but that ALL should note the change I made, because if he had taken note of the original product ... how to say ... Zero plus zero equals the head in toto?
OVERALL OPINION

I played more in the last two weeks for almost two years as she arrived home.
I honestly had no idea how two passive components could transform the sound of a guitar. It does looks perhaps not often enough on the characteristics of the electronics to take the essence of an instrument like that.
Result, it is also delicious, as delicious as honey to play its natural finish.
For reasons of ease of playing, I will also reverse the control plate and knobs for the switch side next round ass and not in order to enhance usability and access to two potentiometers.
Purchased as new (played a few hours) to almost half price, a great opportunity I had there, and knowing what I know he needs the guts to give what is expected of it, yes, I would do this choice with his eyes closed.
