«  Fantastic, and what character! »

Manufacturing USA, mine in 1974.
No vibrato, 21 frets, 2 pickups original Wide Range (nothing to do with the reissues I've tested, and are really not terrible).
A volume and tone micro, 3-position selector.
Maple strat neck and head. Personally I love it.
Only flaw, relatively well known: the mechanical origin were not terrible for holding agreement, I replaced with self locking Sperzel Mecha.

UTILIZATION

Handle very nice (it needs to be done initially, it "seems" a large pile but we made it very quickly). Access right for a Fender treble for me I do not venture too far beyond the 15th box either so it's not annoying. The sound of this guitar is top notch, even when empty.

SOUNDS

I'd rather play a style of music very clean when necessary, by linking to parts more or less saturated (light OD, distortion or fuzz).
The bridge pickup is aggressive as it should (it hard ^ ^), an intermediate position to fall (a snapping sound and round, but at the same time ... terrible crystal!) And a velvety micro serious (but not deaf ).
I love all the sounds.
I made the mistake of going up to max preque my microphones (not really adjust the pads) and by action not too low, I already feasted, however I could not find saturation necessarily accurate. I took it to a luthier who made me a rather low action and has also lowered my pickups (by setting pin) C and much more! I rediscovered a very detailed sound with large saturations! A real pleasure.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for about a year. I wanted to buy a guitar, after playing 15 years in a mex strat. I saved 2 years, I well-considered so long. I think I have tested at least thirty guitars (strats, various "standard" TV, baja, custom TV 72, 335 Gibson etc etc ...). The sellers were Pigalle hate me :) I had gone on the Custom 72, but with a little afraid of a possible loss of money the day I revendrais (if it were not like me over time, because I noticed that there really is a lot of custom period, while there is very little Deluxe), I went on this Deluxe (model I tried in a store one time, I was leaving step into the unknown total).
I do not regret for one moment my purchase!! It got me relatively expensive, however it is so delightful to play and hear that this is not really a problem.
With the experience I would do this choice, but I would buy some 10 or 15 years ;)
