« One approach to excellence »

Tube amp for the best bill. All done, installed and wired by hand carefully, tested at each stage of manufacture. Alloy welds money, the best components market, fignolages tailored to the customer's request ... based on an original circuit "improved / optimized" Fender Tweed for 50 years.
Connection: jack and only jack (and a power outlet of course)
Advertised power 15 watt. Power felt ... much more! (Mine has a blue alnico)
No effect (no reverb), just the sound, just the sound, but the best.
The settings are can not be simpler for all that has already started a guitar amp. For others as the rest.

NB: the four entries: "Normal" 1 and 2, and "Bright" 1 and 2 provide further opportunities for her.
I personally lay the normal one with two bright and I plug the guitar into the bright one. I get the grain and the ideal volume then settling with two volume controls.
But we quibble here because whatever the chosen input it sounds incredibly.
Presence is particularly remarkable.

UTILIZATION

Cf config simplissime Photo

Manual: no manual. Unnecessary. At Bonefish is the boss in person that puts you in your hands and your amp makes the tuition. You can also compare several models (HP and / or different lamps and there are other options) before making your choice. You can also make a model "to measure" through all the options proposed.
The maintenance and sav ... ditto it's as simple as a mail or a phone call.

If you can easily find a good sound? : Yes, it is very easy, just plug a guitar and light!
Few seconds to warm it and shoo.

The config (pictured) that I use is almost invariable repeats or in concert, indoors or outdoors, even in large spaces with large gauges.
Playing with the flight at around 2 allows me to juggle his light and crunchy. I play with the guitar volume pedals and also as needed.

As for the dosage of "heat" of sound: the tone knob works great.

NB: the machine responds very well to pedals of any kind (I have not tried either but 10,000 with the usual stuff distortion / boost / reverb / delay / chorus / flanger / wah nickel that rolls)

SOUNDS

Is well suited to my style of music and, I imagine, almost every style ...

Types of sound: the sound clear as pure, crisp (but "pure" is more accurate) to crunch the most trashy, dirty, aggressive and violent. We can do almost anything we want with this machine that has a very strong personality. I do not see how else.

I used it with
Les Paul Studio 94
Melody Maker in 2010
Melody Maker 2010 (+ P90)
Les Paul BFG 2007
Les Paul Raw Power 2011
Gary Moore Les Paul Bfg 2009 or 10
U.S. Fender Strat (RI cellars which year)

In sound, I do not hate anything of this amp.
What I like best?
The clean sound is really impeccable.
The crunch comes at when we know assayed.
The sound "dirty" is the wish. As being asked.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 5 months.
I have not tried all the amp models of the earth, but over the years that I play I 'have tried a lot, all brands and models combined powers. Anyway, enough for my ears make the difference between good and less good.

Several things that I like:

Sound: the sound and the sound!

Weight: despite the power delivered, it is relatively light. Before I was primarily using a JMI Vox in 1964 and a Bandmaster (head + 2x12 box) blackface who weighed 65 respectively the weight of a horse + flight cases (the weight of a pony).
Today with a guitar in one hand and the Lil 'Tweedie in the other it's easy! Shame we limit hands to hold the handlebars as I could go to concerts by bike.

Her look: secondary, of course, but there's no denying he has the mouth. Mine is tweed "original" painted (yes, a varnished tweed! You read well) with a leather handle large class "as then" there is nothing wrong on the finish.

He exudes the highest quality at all levels. it is obvious (and ears) directly. From the outlet and the power cable to the smallest bits and the smallest detail, nothing has been omitted.

What I like least?

Hmm ...
Nothing. I racked my head ... nothing against him except that he can not make coffee or take out the trash but hey.

If I really wanted to crank it up I would say it would not hurt that there is a headphone output. But I finasse, it's just that I wish I could play with me without getting angry with the neighbors. That said, Lil Tweedie is a wild animal that is not made to be released in a salon. Better to know.

The quality / price ...
Quality comes at a price, this is obvious.
But here we are beyond all known standards of quality. It is tailor-made, not ready-to-wear. Implementation, testing, testing, handling, sav on, the board and so on ... + all this sounds like a machine that never for that price ... hard to beat.

I invite you to open a high end amp you have paid double the price to see how it is made, check the components, lights, weld quality, finishes, etc.. and compare. The verdict will be final.
Here, you do not buy something made in series or chain

Besides, if you know someone who has a Lil Tweedie or Big Deluxe, go ahead and compare with your Mesa, Marshall, Vox, Fender, ... and do the test, by ear, you will immediately understand that the report "huge" money "normal" is unbeatable.

At Bonefish, there is a certain expertise. I saw that they also make pickups for strat and tele (they do not speak on their site and I wonder why) which are real killings (and I heard shortly tried a strat that was there ), well above the U.S. big names that manufacture in series ... but for a price and a much smaller timeout. Finally, because so far I guess it will not last if the logic is respected and BF amps decides to do some marketing.
The prices of amps and all options are on the site www.bonefish-amps.com ... and all technical specifications in terms alphanumeric specialists ... a language I did not speak.
