Everything has been said about the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe! All tube 40 watts (and what watts)
super clear sound: the drive and more drive can be used to pass in single player with more power.
In fact by dint of reading the reviews, I wanted to have a (hot rod) and I bought a used (good idea)
since mine is the 1999 USA and guaranteed.
UTILIZATION
The sounds are hot as it should! even with a Squier Stratocaster, without effects, it is taken to playing hendrix little wing! (Just kidding)
I said that I had all kinds of marshall amps, orange, vox gibson ( <img class="smiley" src="/images/audiofanzine/interface/smileys/icon_cry.gif" alt="" /> except mesa) and I found the HOT ROD worthy of its reputation.
Manual: go to the website but it's not too hard.
on the forums, I saw that some had made customizations hazardous (eg lamps)
actually I think it is optimized properly to begin with.
The clean channel is really clear with serious majestic!
channel drive: you have to push the preamp completely and lower the master to saturate: it is better pedal!
SOUNDS
Crystalline sounds at will. But when we play hard rock trends, like me, with a Gibson Les Paul Custom, or Jackson (the Squier Start: To troubleshoot) then it MUST effects for everything overdrive and distortion in particular. I played on GT8 boss and he "got along" with the HOT but I sold WG8 to return a suitcase full of pedals (updated 01/2010) is much more satisfying! (Including two with my body Peavy tt lamps) ...
OVERALL OPINION
I had Marshall, Gibson, Peavy, rolland, orange (3 tt body 150 W lamps in my day dude paul person: BEAST) and I am VERY happy with the HOT ROD: I could change my Peavy Classic 2 body for a mesa if I have the tune, but I will keep the HOT ROD.
