UTILIZATION

Yes, rglages ractifs are and actually do their job. They are accessible and rather well done for.

Above all, this amp I used (and uses) for about a year of daily fawn.

Yes but with distortion pedals of Additional and eq!

In rglant the amp in clean, Bass 5, 6 Middleton, Treble 7, 8 I get to have a great range of sound that does not include me dplaisent playing with rglage pr sences to make clear sounds softer and distorted sounds more aggressive.

- What kind of sound you get and with what rglages ("crystalline", "bold ",....)?
Without forward chaining, the sound obtained with the channel distortion is trs rock, a moderately aggressive crunch does not m'intresse and I think for the lightweight mtal, too cold for the blues but IDAL for the soft rock!
With or without chaining, even when the sound has more mouth, more than me with the lights ...
That shut me skeptical about the diffrence lamp / transistor, I admit that the job of those in the dernires Valbee changes when the same cot trs "electronic" transistor amps!
The sound of the body, it is much more alive!

This amp sounds like an amp 150/200 lamp! I jou on the JCM800, JCM900, 5150, and it is clear that the valbee is not a "mini" version of these monsters! It's a lil amp to play Penard lamp at home, not a box of the race scne fates: it has t built design with this in mind!

I do not know but I do not really regret this choice
EDIT: 2 years APRS, yet I do not regret this amp which I'm not prs me spare. For home use, it's really THE TOP! In addition, the price, I think there is still one of the few to offer a real legalization, not a poor Tone (see Fender, Epiphone). It is also the "muscle in this CATEGORY. It sounds even low volume, the top is really clear to cash pedals!

It is even IDAL for those who want to get their hands on the customization amp because the net is full of tutorials to change HP, sound, etc. ..

UTILIZATION

Extra simple configuration is a single channel amp with a boost, no surprises. That said, would also have an output Footswich t good view (but ... We do not play in a group with this kind of amp ... Whatever )
I did not have the manual, but as with all amps of this kind, they only serve gnralement nothing.

SOUNDS

Level Sound: Ok, the it works well; D I play mostly blues / rock with the clean sounds are really nice, they may be going on everywhere typs, thanks to the legalization active electronic

A high gain: it has against a distortion here trs go anywhere, I think. A decrease in volume can be heard when changing "channel" (this from two diodes that can be removed without problem, losing the characters nanmoins Hi Gain of it.)

OVERALL OPINION

I bought it in September 2008 and have jou "as is" for 3 months. Then I just wanted to amliorer: I opened the belly, I rout the son of the speaker to a female jack to give it a 4ohms hp output, and have deleted the 2 diodes cited above. Rsultat: What potato! In an apartment, I can not push more than 1 channel boost, which for once is more powerful than the clean channel (no normment, but all the same )
The gain level is greatly reduced up big I get an overdrive, but I do not regret the change at all (I built him a wooden box for the head amp into 4ohms and plays with pedals for overdrive / distortion upstream.)
-> Need the effects loop.
In short, a good investment base, which rvle be even better with a small modif (Especially if you buy OCCAZ ...)

UTILIZATION

The settings have not been easy at the beginning because the equalizer does not work exclusively in mitigation. This amp has very interesting possibilities and offers a wide range of sounds.

The manual is not helpful, but the sound samples on the package can better understand its use.

I have a lot of trial and error before finding the sound that suits me.

SOUNDS

Originally the amp Excellent sound, perfect for working at home or make a small pickups.

The clean sounds were very usable. The boost channel I liked less.

The valbee fully respect the effects, which is interesting for a low power amp.

My only criticism concerns the HP is a bit small, and not necessarily good cam.

After a year of use, the sound was really tinny.

Since I have completely changed the valbee according to my needs so this review is subjective.



OVERALL OPINION

I use it for almost 3 years.

Originally it is a good tool, with a value for money near-perfect.

The number of possible settings this amp stand out from the rest of the production of the 5-watt lamps.

I have made since to many mods to get a true Swiss Army knife of amplification <img class="smiley" src="/images/audiofanzine/interface/smileys/icon_lol.gif" alt="" /> quiet to work and have the same options as a high end amplifier and / or higher power (preamp modified configurable effects loop, speaker output ...) while retaining the format 5 watts.

I now have a perfect tool for work, this amp is extremely versatile.

It's a choice I will ever be without hesitation.

5W tube amp class A (6L6 power and a 12AX7 pre-amp).

Level connections: An instrument input, a headphone receiving the lamp power, an effects loop. A power switch is Pesenti (no kidding!) And a standby switch handy when not playing.

Then we have a 3-band active EQ (bass, middle, teble), a presence knob and a volume knob. Finally there is a little switch to switch from clear channel to channel saturation.

This small blue cube is equipped with a loudspeaker Ibanez Power Jam 8 "4 ohms.

I put the score of 8 because the effects loop is really good come on an amp in this category and the standby switch goes well too. I do not put 10 because I think the HP is ridiculous (they could have put a 12 inch anyway!) And a reverb'll have been well come as a footswith to change the channel right there but we fall into the tastes Luxury especially since the amp is really not expensive for what it offers.

UTILIZATION

Configuration on this amp is simple, no need "for science is knowing how to use a 3-band EQ!

I have not had a manual with the amp (bought used in a music store), but frankly it's no use, people take their French-English dictionary and then look for the translation of input and c ' is good!

There are some basic settings on the drawing board for bebeus who do not know his leu find themselves, but hey that's really what gadget!

I use to put the score of 9 because it is understood that the equalizer is active (ie it not only works by reducing frequencies, above 12 to amplify it.) & %&%&%&% sound level is really perfect to start discovering the "sound tubes".
Ok the Hp is a bit smaller, and consequently we lose one bit of definition in the bass but it just always change the speaker (4 or 8 ohms) without problems.

In his sound is crystal clear and warm, heaving a little gain is obtained crunch sounds (hummm! Chocolate!) Not too bad.
on the other hand must note a decrease in overall volume when changing channels (this because of two diodes in the circuit that can remove).
At the channel is not saturated at the same story sound, the sound really hi-gain at low volumes, I do not like (too dirty to me) but good between us I do not use the channel never saturated with the amp I'd rather use my own pedals for distortion.

The effects loop is really a pleasure significantly, especially in an amp of this class, I'm glad they thought of that at Ibanez.

Finally, for people who are afraid of the sound level of this amp (I recall that it is a 5 watt): do not worry the output level is very good (ok you will not make the Stade de France with) good quiet enough to play at home again and if your drummer is not a big nag.

I would put her at 9 because I was a little disappointed with the overdrive channel, the channel is clear, is really cool and delivers very good sound of the moment when one knows the master eq. As I said earlier it was really his "light" with this amp and it has very little play even with a volume of 5 watts, what more?

SOUNDS

I have this amp for two months now, I used every day with great joy.
Pros:-loop effect
It's light that is present
-Very satisfying volume of output
Appreciable standby-switch

Cons:-speaker phone is too small
-Saturated channel too hi-gain
- A little toy at first glance (what an idea to make an amp blue!)

In conclusion I am very happy with this amp, I think that level for money it is unbeatable (€ bought 180 used). I would do without hesitation that choice, I really recommend it to all people who want a tube amp without breaking your back and want to piss without repeating quiet everyone. GO CREATE !!!!!!!!!!!
