I only use the clean channel with my OD for saturation (and other effects) and it does it well better than the FDR Blues Jr, I've owned so ephemeral because of it.

OVERALL OPINION

The Classic 30 is arguably one of "these amps that he must have" or had.
For my part, it is only after you have installed a Celestion G12H 30 and EL84 TESLA (+ a trivial extension speaker Blackheart, for lack of better ... or say + premium) that things started to really please me.
All tube that sends (very) strong and has not much to envy to other more upscale models ... (despite a fairly "standard" reverb) then we are in the presence of an amp
I apparently found my config "j'me not take the head (Marshall JTM45) or the 4x12 but it's going to do it anyway!"
Reliability remains to be seen.
