SOUNDS

I say right away: this is an amp for Blues / Rock or Hard Rock. N'immaginez not play Metal with fat! Without comparison, it would be almost satisfactory, but for the price, he can not hold a candle to a Mesa / Boogie Rectifier or a Peavey 6505 +. I play everything (Funk, Floyd, Blues, Classic), but mostly Metal (In Flames, Angra, Symphony X, Children of Bodom, Atreyu). I bought it because the video convinced me. The video does not lie, or rather very little. The distortion has a grain very pleasant and enjoyable but lacks the life of the lamp, the punch found in ENGL, Mesa / Boogie, Peavey, Orange, etc.. and that is expected of an amp € 2600 (I was then a KR55 Tré 112 HP 12 inches shorter).

I put 8 because after all, the clean is great and the push-pull "bright" and "notch" offer a vivid color palette.
The reverb is sweet, especially clean. She has little interest in distortion.

OVERALL OPINION

I had it for 4 months and by adding back a compressor, nothing worked (it was even worse). This is a great amp, expensive for what it provides. It has a beautiful clean and a nice distortion but no more. It lacks a bit of fishing in all. However, the possibility of using the loop as powerbrake, without losing grain (véridique!) is very significant, especially in small house. Personally, I would buy it because it does not suit my style, but I think an equal basis to concurence Mesa / Boogie F-30 or Express 5:50.
