« The ultimate modern amp! »
Published on 08/29/11 at 18:03Constructor see site ... there are slightly different version
wholesale 3 Channel EQ with mid cut + independent (which can work on the sound as any other amp!), bass boost and presence, and 2 master volume, series or Parallel loop with adjustable ratio of wet / dry, dock accepts all models and combinations of the most common tube
UTILIZATION
very simple and knobs are very responsive so it's all good, the master is really very well done for, you can play at home at low volume without problem and it sounds good ... of course not as good as when you push a little but still it's pretty impressive if we consider that we have 180Watts lamp under your fingers!
SOUNDS
is an amp that was there jai qq annnees but I do not lay more now
as the guitar was very different results so it has taken into account, I used the original model of tubes
sounds good clean sound, there is a pretty huge headroom (180 watts!) on the other hand is pretty "stiff" so it depends on the type of clean sound that is sought. Adapts very well to the type of rock, but blues rock, or funk. Channel 1 also allows for nice overdrive when pushed. godin LGXIII with pushing a bottom jarrivais a sound enough "hendrixien"
Channel 2 goes from slight crunch to a huge distortion, it reminded me of a sort of "modeling a lamp" in the sense that it can play almost anything on that channel depending on the settings!
the crunch of herbert differnet sound good but all are very precise, again it depends on what one seeks.
Channel 3 is planned for the lead, the sound is a bit more compressed than the channel 2 I would say.
for the distortion is clearly his field, rock, hard rock, metal, thrash, death metal, grindcore etc ... she knows absolutely everything and styles for the most violent one obtains low huge but very clean (depends also the cab) and "clarity" joint game pretty impressive even with distortion levels of students! sweeping, tapping etc all sounds very clean (as long as we play well of course!)
Can we blame him it's just one side hi-fi (like a little "fizzy") but it has that price we sound so precise.
I've never had a problem I heard a year group, as I sometimes read here or after ca ... is my experience!
OVERALL OPINION
I used two years after I left to live abroad so farewell herbie!
but it's an amp I would probably never be sold to the metal because it suited me 200%!
Personally even if the clean is very good is not an amp that Jachet if I played very often in clean, or to jazz (although again with a good guitar is obtained very convincing results, like a PE net flat .. yum!).
to crunch all depends on the type of crunch ... we are looking for a crunch "electric" and very rock'n'roll, yes, a rather bluesy roots and not really something better like that.
for fat distortion, think Pantera, Death to name just two ... the clear and precise .... if that's what you are looking for then no problem, it is the top. It is also very suitable for all music but not particularly violent enough "technical" or requires a certain "intelligibility" as progressive rock .... and that's where the head excels.
