The Retro Classic is a design created to capture three different classic sounds, in one single-channel 25-watt amplifier.
“This is a completely new and original KT66 Benjamin Fargen amplifier design, not based on any other model in the history of our company” says Ben Fargen, founder and CEO. According to Fargen, the amp leverages Fargen’s Decade Switch, allowing the player to switch between distinct tones on the fly. The first Decade Position is the ’59, reminiscent of a late '50s tweed Bassman, the second is the ’65, enhancing a JTM 45 tone, and the third is the ’68, like a 12000 series Superbass.
