French boutique manufacturer FX Amplification announces the release of the third version of his Dr.B all-valve guitar amp head.
Dr.B is an all-valve guitar amp designed for vintage US clean sound lovers. Thanks to a three-way switch, you can even choose between 50s Tweed-type, more punchy 60s Deluxe Blackface or even fatter and boosted sounds.
The amp head uses three 12AX7 preamp tubes and two 6L6 power tubes that can be replaced or mixed with EL34 power models without having to modify the bias. The amp features a single-ended Class A circuit and provides 20W of power. An effect loop is also included.
The new modification FX Amps has made on Dr.B changes the Boost mode, which is now based on a Bassman channel in order to offer a warmer and round sound that can crunch at higher gain.
Dr.B is available for the suggested price of 1790€. More info at www.fxamps.com.
