Echo tango
« Amazing! »
Published on 08/29/13 at 08:45For specs, see other opinions or squarely on the Ibanez site. Basically it's an all-tube 15w / w with a TS9 included. Effects loop, several speaker outputs, footswitch for boost and TS9. 2-band EQ, volume to clean. TS9 for gain, tone and volume. The simple, no-brainer. Real plug & play!
UTILIZATION
Not really need a manual. One branch, it lights up and is looking for. The sound carves easily and quickly found its mark.
SOUNDS
My style is the Hard'n heavy or covers classic rock (Black Sabbath, Free, Van Halen, but Creedence, Hendrix ...). So let me be clear: the TS9 is not suitable for the large trash but excels in everything that goes to the well tempered Crunch. + For large distos a Blackstar HT Dual in the clean channel (in the effects loop return it works just as well) and it sends the wood! Positively amazed at how this little amp mnière cash distortion pedals (I also tried the Dist-X and it does). I tested it with 3 different guitars (LTDEX401, SZ300MH Ibanez, Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster 70's with two vintage rails and hot rails in bridge) and the character of each guitar is retransmitted. Plugged into a 4x12 Framus Dragon (mounted V30 and rewired by me) it sounds really good. Not sure it would hold up against an aggressive batsman but developed volume is more than enough for bosser home without going to war with neighbors.
OVERALL OPINION
bought it two days I took the time to tour the strong and weaker points. On the plus side: light, powerful enough for rehearsals and small performances, cash out the distortion pedals. For the price this is an excellent tool.
Minus side: not too fan of the TS9 but this is a matter of personal taste. The rest will tell. In the meantime I ordered a pair of 6V6, you never know
