100 Watt lamps, my 5881 model is equipped with amplification.
Sufficient connectivity, effects loop and speaker outputs on the rear.
Basic adjustments on the front.

UTILIZATION

Very easy to use, the balance between the two channels is easy to do in order to have a clear and balanced levels of saturated sound that is not always obvious.
No need for manual is very basic and simple.

SOUNDS

Against all odds, I was amazed by the clean sounds that come out of this amp. Marshall and clear for me, it was not compatible, then I'm on the ass. While this is not a Jazz Chorus, but the clear one grain of its own and I like good with both strato, TV LP.En that address many clear channel, one can have a slight crunch to very nice blues, just playing the guitar volume.
Saturated when the channel is a marvel to him. Attention not Trash, metal, or other derivatives, but for blues, rock and hard rock, this is his 25 years of history. AC / DC and consors ...
That right, dynamic, powerful, if necessary.
A report, it is possible to have good sound saturated even at low volume.

Accepts all possible modulations in the loop. Boosted channel is sufficient unto itself, or we go to the volume knob on the guitar, or you put an overdrive ahead to warm even the lamps for the lead.
Small flat, tone corrections are not extreme efficiency.

A point, my head is connected to a 4 x December 1960 all lead is most basic, just careful in tightness.

Only major complaint was heavy and cumbersome.

OVERALL OPINION

Often criticized, this amp is often not used to what it was designed to do: Rock'n roll and hard rock.
on the other hand, with just a guitar live in, there are already what to do with a good variety of sounds, without leaving the particular grain Marshall.

And car with large trunk required if used with a 4 x 12 cabinet.
