SOUNDS

I play on a team with Allender PRS Signature Model JB SH4 and SH6 Distortion.
And a 70's Start reissue vintage microphones.
The head is connected to a 1960A.
Channel 1, Clean, Green LED position: Its super clean, great brilliance worthy of a Fender Twin
Stratum married Obviously trs use.The harmonics are also apprcie riches.La PRS.
If we add a little rverb, we can get the sound of Steve Vai Tender Surrender.

Orange LED Position: lightweight crunch sense to approach the old ttes.Mme SYPA if the grain is, it's not really convincing, go to red.
Red LED Position: L there is a greasy blues sound, with a little rverbe not bad at all!

Channel 2: Crunch
Green: a lightweight crunch, typical of the brand
Orange: the same but with more gain
red: we have the sense of JCM rplique 800.J 'really in doubt even if there was a lot of gain and it is enjoyable and that all of the same dcoiffe well.

Channel 3 and 4: OD1 and OD2

Green: a sound with less bass
orange: the same but with more gain
red: L was a major distortion, m ^ me by reducing the gain, was something of trs bon.Seul BMOL, this lack of bass compared to channel 2.
If we add the rverbe we can go in solo trs good bills.

OVERALL OPINION

I'll try to be as objective and impartial as possible:
I have been using for over a year doonc I step back from the machine.

Channel 1: trs it's good clean sound. Plus the instrument will be good quip and good microphones, the better sera.Mais same with a guitar sound that first prize.
Mode orange: not useful as playing for red and use the volume of the instrument for the determination of gain.
Position is more than correct red (with a wah it can do a good Led Zep or Jimi)
We have the IMMEDIATE grain recognizable and quite bold.

Channel 2: mode only rouge.Cela like the JCM800 but not the 800.
Nammoins a good slap right mme.Mais for the solo and it will sustain pedals to add a disto.

Channel 3 and 4 (this is exactly the same!). Only in red. Sorely lacking bass, with a gain of 3 hard, but if you put on 7, has the drooling, but it its charm.
The rverbe is especially useful in clean and is of average quality.
The pdalier is robust
The buttons on them are really mdiocres is unacceptable for the price (I have a head 1978 which buttons are much stronger ...)

For résumé while dpends Obviously the available budget
For less than 1500 was a good rev head amp is versatile trs. It can go from blues, rock, rock rest until mtal.Le Obviously the field of pr dilection must be clear the above.
APRS is all about son.Une got the Gibson and a Start will ring well above trs.
But for someone who is branch rock, big rock, hard rock, channel 3 and 4, because of their texture will not be used.
So the second question APRS price is: do I need 4 channels?
Then I find the diffrence of modes in the channels are not gross rev.
For the same price, it is better to move towards a head 2 channels (1 clean and 1 OD)

I do not have that choice would do with the exprience, but gots voluent and financial resources also.

For my part I am totally rethinking my Systm because I will run on 3 amps (a 1978 head on a 1960A for the clean / a JCM800 head on NOS 4x12 for crunch and Rhythmic / a Mesa Roadster 4x12 in a NOD for heavy sounds)
But the budget is not the same.

For an overall rating, I give a 7 because even if I like Marshall, I'm not sure that the JVM will mark the spirit as well as the JCM800, 1959 and SPL. (Fortunately for that matter)
We are dealing with a copy of the Roadster in the design of MESA.
I'm not one of this amp but I urge you to try several before in the same price range.
