Hi gain tube amp 100 watts, 3 channels, manufacturing made in USA sturdy, extremely powerful, aesthetic and flawless finish with iconic metal plate (called Diamond Plate).

UTILIZATION

This amp has 3 channels: clean, distortion and super distortion. On each channel can be selected several fashion, but I find this unnecessary choice, as most users Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier uses the default modes namely: Clean for Clean and Modern channel for the other two channels. At the rear of the amp, you can also find a lot of settings that I consider useless and I suggest you do not touch the settings are the default settings of a real Rectifier. The amp has a button 'solo', which is a boost with its independent volume, very useful for out of the mix when solo.

SOUNDS

The sound of this amp is very common nowadays, it is associated with the sound of American rock since 1995 (approximately). If you like the sound, no need to go elsewhere, the Dual Rectifier amp will only be able to give you what you want.
Its clean channel is very good from the 2010 version of the amp, it is crystalline and is perfect for my use.
Its distortion channel (Channel Orange) in 'modern' is the original Rectifier the first hour, the sound of all the California punk rock bands and metal neo 2000s. It is perfect in its kind and it is one that I recommend to use if you do not play the Metal overgrown.
Its super distortion channel (Canal Red) in 'modern' is like the previous channel but more modern more compressed and more gain. Should be pushed to sound Metal, hardcore and metalcore modern times.
NB: I'm not talking about other modes, because I never use them.
This amp is not easy to play, it is muddy and often hard to achieve its goals including lead (solo). Most of the time, it is used with a Tube Screamer pedal Maxon OD808 which normally corrects all the defects of the amp: there really is a very high quality amp. This makes it necessary to ask why was need to add a foot to 100 € (and it takes off every time you want to switch to clean) to an amp that cost us in 2400.

OVERALL OPINION

The Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier is part of the top three most commonly used in large productions amps: Marshall JCM800, Peavey 6505 and Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier. It is associated in our minds with the sound of today's groups and represents the true sound of rock'n'roll the 2000-2010 generation.
However, it should be noted that its use is not as flattering as you think, its sound has noticeable flaws correctable with such artifices Tube Screamer pedal.
This amp is often subject to debate because it is much more expensive than equivalent quality amps but cheaper such as: Marshall JCM800, Peavey 6505 Orange Rockerverb / Thunderverb, Fender EVHIII 5150 and Engl Powerball / Invader.
That's right, this amp is too expensive for what it is and I think it plays heavily on the image / reputation / sponsoring it clips into groups for example. However, if this is the sound you want Rectifier, Dual Rectifier alone will give you.
