Value For Money : Correct
A big beast.

For the rest see the previous opinion.

UTILIZATION

The mesa is not known for being easy to adjust and dual-sided no exception to the rule.

Given the number of different possibilities it offers, it gives a bit of trouble. But with a bit of will and patience, it is doing very well.

The rest is really a versatile amp in terms of rock music in general. That is to say big rock, blues rock, hard rock, heavy, thrash metal, and so on. Perfect for what I do.

So the difficulty (after all, relative) to adjust the machine is offset by the fantastic results that can be obtained.

For the bias, there is a switch 6L6 and EL34. The concept is to change the original lamps lamps ... sorted by mesa and therefore charged a little more expensive (we would have suspected). Forcing it can feel a bit trapped, but the amp is modified (by a specialist) to allow adjustment of bias if desired.

Personally I leave it like that. On the one hand ca can change the lights yourself, and also ... well quite simply it sounds! The factory setting is for a certain sound out, regardless of whether the bias rule is cold or not, the key is rendering, and rendering is good.

Finally, two points removed for the time to adjust the sound (have to find a default). 11 minus 2 is thus ca 9.

SOUNDS

So as I said, the style of the amp is rock in its broadest sense ... ca and mind-blowing!

We feel the American know-how (and mesa boogie first). The rock also comes from, and if you like just this side roots, aggressive, with strong character, the front can become interesting, and even maybe more. (Well there is not only that sounds harsh, either on this machine)

When I got it, I was playing with a Mexican Fender Start, which replaced my gibson LP repair.

To clarify I play have no effect. I do not like that, far from the ... rather laziness and want to hear the amp as it is naturally ... and simplicity. The box is a 4x12 mesa.

The sound, I was not 100% satisfied: the palm muting were not specific enough. In short ca drooled when even a little. It scares me a little, especially when reading the reviews of both severe on the front ... baveu.

Since my Gibson has returned more than the above problem, ca drool at all. The palms are super precise muting, ca claque is the sound as I love metal. The lamp configuration while grinding his vintage two channel ... with the gain at mid race, and most of all not too low (and put his heavy metal ..)! I still continue to experiment with different sounds, there really is something to do.

Frankly I understand those who complain of its baveu, but it is the guitar, not the amp. Often as an improper adjustment: Beware of excessive gain and low!

Be careful not to be confused as a bad play and bad amp. the first step of sound, it is the fingers. If this level ca bell, the front does not forgive!

Thus one can see little budding guitarists disgusted with their front, and then sell them to buy such a jcm 900 (and such is true), and be much happier.

Finally what I mean is that it's a shame to slam as many gold coins as amplifiers much cheaper both agree on much.

It's not an amp for beginner level or very average ... or the room!

Otherwise I have nothing personal change it is the head as it was at the factory, and I have no intention of changing anything (other than the natural replacement of lamps at the end life course).

I've also read that some consider the front not ideal for solos. It's not my opinion. To see then, but I'm surprised a little. I think instead it offers a lot of nuances in the game solo and it's just a joy to improvise with.

OVERALL OPINION

I put a voluntary 10 almost everywhere. Not to praise my own material (which in fact I just bought because I liked him, not built), nor to the pub.

There are also plenty of different brands and quality to find happiness. But Mesa is part of the must and deserves attention.

I am perfectly satisfied, and even beyond (say height). So no-brainer is the amp I wanted and my eyes it is the maximum.

Nevertheless I see a lot of unfounded criticism on the front. I think it's also a bit annoying. It is best not to pay attention and make his own idea. Indeed there are countless guitarists won, evidenced by a large community of lovers zicos mesa.

Criticizing is easy, much less built. And break a particular brand because so and so said ... or simply because we know how to play, because it was trying to store a volume mimum with a squier ...

... The plastic knobs break ... Anyway ...... the knobs are solid metal and are not a condition of above tapper hammer! ;)

The finish is very neat. The amp is covered in leather and angles are also protected by the largest leather. Perceived quality is excellent.

For comparison, there was a engl invader by side on the front in the store (note I love engl, the goal is not to get off the mark), the price was 100 euros about the same. Finishing this level was definitely not the same thing, the mesa was well above. After the sound that is necessarily paramount. But a good visual impression (and a nice texture to touch, to make his girlfriend jealous), it is always a plus ... ca and partly justifies a major prize of the care taken in its manufacture.

So we arrive at the price. It's expensive. But what is the ca?

I bought 2300 euros a nine Luxembourg (apparently less than in France), and comparing to other heads in this price range, so ca's worth. Not that the mesa is higher power, is ... just a matter of taste, and difference. on the other hand and I'm still interested in other brands of which have their own charm. Sectarianism not for me

But the face is forever! : D

I find that many are steered too much on the price difference Europe / US. The import and intermediaries are not in my opinion the only ones involved, even if they affect the above. Mesa must surely increase the price for Europe to adapt its position to compete, and keep an image of prestige. It's artificial but it's marketing: It winds less but more expensive, and we keep the prestige.

Anyway Here there are ways to manage to find a good price if you want to have one. The single must be the same level (I have not tried it so I guess) to the dual and cheaper, it has taken into account. There's always the running of the OCCAZ too.

Other trademarks formidable, sometimes very expensive, often less, also exist. It would be a shame to shine on one side or another.

PS: sorry for the accents but the keyboard is configured for the German language, and can not find how to change ca.
