«  Very satisfied »

I was looking for me to record audio simultaneously four inputs (mic or line) on my PC, for less than 150 euros a budget interface. Only Alesis IO4 seemed fulfill these conditions.

UTILIZATION

The Alesis IO4 as promised can record 4 sources in 16 bits. For a 24-bit recording, they need by simply against two sources.
There is no dedicated driver must go through Asio4All (free). Through this pilot, I got no problem very low latency or no on my old PC laptop that runs on Vista and dates from 2007.

GETTING STARTED

The grip is intuitive. Simply plug the USB plug into the computer, and go!
The manual provides very little information, fortunately we understand very quickly how alone get what you want.
There I had to manually set the preferences Reaper (my DAW software) for the four inputs and four outputs of the Alesis IO4 are recognized (originally there were only two input and two outputs by default). In five seconds, I solved the problem and I was able to use 4 inputs / outputs without problem.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought it used yesterday, I use it for only one day but I am fully satisfied for the moment. This is my first audio interface.
I appreciate the compact design of the device, which can move with very easily for mobile recording.
The Alesis IO4 has all the important functions for home studio recording (phantom power, insert, preamps, XLR inputs and guitar) and 100 euros used, the price / quality ratio is unbeatable!
Only (small) flats: I would have appreciated an integrated EQ and a little more meaningful settings for the headphone output (this is the point that is less intuitive in the unit).
I would do this choice with his eyes closed!
