GETTING STARTED
The drivers are very stable day and put the same time as Pro Tools LE.
I mainly use Pro Tools LE and HD but I have to occasionally go through Logic, Cubase, Digital Performer, Live or Reason for rcuprer lments of sessions.
Mac with a powerful and 4GB of Ram, it is possible to let the buffer size 128/256 for a long time ... sufficient for recording. APRS is a system that natively, so once all plug-ins of the mix should be inserted to increase it. As against the Mbox 2 has a function of external monitoring and handy Vitantis dcalage all in the headphone and it is possible any time of temporarily disable tracks and plug-ins to the project SAVE resources. In short, it works well and at least we keep hold of rglages ...
I can record 18 tracks simultanment without problem (the limit fixed by the manufacturer) and read 48-track Stereo carefree from a single external drive ... (Old limit fixed by the Music Production Toolkit and now based Pro Tools 8).

I use an Mbox and Mbox 2 for 6 years ...
Let's be reasonable, the Mbox 2 is trs good job but it is primarily an interface complte your checks and affordable Pro Tools LE comes with, and that's the whole purpose, even version 8.
And let's not be too prtentieux, not the interface of the century, there are better and more expensive but all the interfaces can not boast of many artists including Manu Chao to their maquettent albums around the world with ...

At this price and with the its specifications, it obvious that the Mbox 2 did not t Designed to make the base def pramplis with a little undersized for power be self-brid food and everything to keep the 48k DBiT USB ... But in the end all is well for the model, it intgre pro software easy to use and plugs are fully exploited in the mix. As with all sound cards in this price range, however I would advise to invest in a good microphone and a good catch prmpli external voice DEFINITIONS ...
I'm not used to give my opinion. It is a Premire! But scores are probably a little high but it compensates for many BTIS I've read a little further down
